Fabric structure for Euroglobe Shipping’s new harbour terminal

Freight forwarder Euroglobe Shipping had the opportunity to open a terminal in Nynäshamn’s new harbour.

Through this the need arose for a fabric structure with both cold and warm storage. As the land lease is signed for 15 years, Euroglobe wanted a practical and flexible storage facility solution that could easily be dismounted and moved if needed. The solution was a fabric structure equipped with both an insulated and a non-insulated part measuring 25x120x6 metres (WxLxH) supplied by Hallbyggarna Jonsereds.

Euroglobe Shippings CEO Javier Sanguesa has provided a few comments about the project.

Would you like to explain about the background for the project?

– The project arose when we were given the opportunity to open a harbour terminal at the new harbour in Nynäshamn. We needed to acquire a temporary storage facility solution for 15 years as the land lease is signed for 15 years.

What was the reason why you chose a fabric structure as a solution?

– Because it can be reused and the fabric structure can be moved if needed.

How has communication with us worked?

– It has worked relatively well. There have been some mistakes but for the most part, things have worked well. The meetings have been good and the building project has also gone well. The problems that have occurred during the project have not been because of Hallbyggarna Jonsereds.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

– We have only encountered by positive reactions from all visitors to the facility. The warm part of the fabric structure is very airy and light.
